Tricia Parker

 

Founded in 2012, TPC was named a “SCORE National Success Story” in August 2017, three months after the company’s fifth birthday. Tricia Parker serves her clients as an editor, a writer, and a literary consultant. Her services focus primarily on editing nonfiction works, assisting with the proposal process, proofreading and copyediting a variety of documents, and indexing.

She has more than 110 works to her name, across multiple genres, including memoir, biography, sports, art, travel, historical fiction, and more. Her list includes several notable and well reviewed books, including Murder in the News by WGN anchor Robert H. Jordan Jr., and Leadership Dubai Style, a First Finalist for the 2016 International Book Awards. She has edited for numerous clients, including individual authors, self-publishing and traditional houses, businesses, and newspapers.

Tricia’s previous  journalistic work has appeared in Time Out Chicago, the Chicago Tribune (RedEye)New Eastside NewsMobil Travel Guides, The Legal IntelligencerConscious Choice, and Make It Better. She has worked as an on-air reporter for two top-rated ABC affiliates, as well as interned at SkyNews London, Bloomberg News London, and FOX5 News in Washington, DC. She has also served as managing editor of her community newspaper in Chicago.

Tricia graduated in three years, magna cum laude, from the George Washington University in 2003 with a BA in journalism. She received her master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2005.

Tricia is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, the Global Lithuanian Leaders Program, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the American Writers’ Museum.
