Tricia Parker

Tricia Parker is managing editor of Chicago’s New Eastside News as well as an experienced book editor. Her unique combination of literary and journalistic skills ensures her clients’ writing is clear, crisp, and focused on the most compelling aspects of “story.”

Tricia has reported on a wide variety of topics, and edited over 100 books in multiple genres, including memoir, business, scholarly, middle-grade, and science fiction. She has edited for numerous clients, including individual authors, self-publishing houses, and traditional houses. Several books have gone on to become best-sellers and receive other special recognition.

Tricia’s previous  journalistic work has appeared in Time Out Chicago, the Chicago Tribune (RedEye)Mobil Travel Guides, The Legal IntelligencerConscious Choice, and Make It Better. She has also worked as an on-air reporter for two top-rated ABC affiliates, as well as interned for SkyNews London, Bloomberg News London, and FOX5 News in Washington, DC.

Tricia graduated in three years, magna cum laude, from the George Washington University in 2003 with a BA in journalism. She received her master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2005.

Tricia is a member of the Global Lithuanian Leaders Program, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, International Women Associates, Chicago Canadian Women’s Club, Editorial Freelancers Association, the National Federation of Press Women, and Chicago Women in Publishing (CWIP).
